This is an opportunity to join our dynamic and inspiring district nursing teams acrossNorth Tyneside.

We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic qualified Band 5 Nurses. There are a number of various hours available, and some posts are for out of hours.

The successful candidate will join a district nursing team providing a high standard of individualised care and actively involved in transforming services to improve outcomes for patients; working closely with health and social care colleagues.

The post holder will work across District Nursing services within a locality. They will have excellent communication skills as they will be undertaking complex nursing assessments, and developing and delivering programs of care for patients and their carers.

We recognise the importance of support and development opportunities for our staff and we provide ongoing advice and guidance to help our staff build their confidence, refine their skills and provide high quality care to our patients.

In addition to the trust preceptorship program for all newly qualified staff nurses joining the trust to help them settle into their new roles and build on their clinical skills, we also offer the opportunity to undertake the District Nursing qualification which is supported by a nine-month preceptorship program for district nurses.

Essential Criteria -

• First level state Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the 3 part NMC Register

• Additional Clinical qualification or equivalent derived through experience at diploma/degree level

• Newly qualified staff will be required to undertake the Trust preceptorship programme within the first year in post.

• Mentorship Qualification or relevant equivalent qualification (essential requirement for post, expectation this will be completed within an 18-month period)

• Experience of working without direct supervised in a health care environment
