Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is looking for a Clinical Simulation Technician to join the Regional Clinical Education Team. Apply today to join our team! 

As a Clinical Simulation Technician you will:

  • Perform a wide variety of simulation education/training and staff development activities within VCH Simulation Training centres.

  • Provide technical, operational, troubleshooting and maintenance support of the computers, audio visual (A/V) technologies, simulation mannequins and surrounding medical equipment in the simulation centres.

  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of current patient care simulation technologies and applications and provide orientation to educators and other staff in the operation of simulators and other A/V equipment in the simulation centres.

Education & Experience

  • Graduation from a recognized diploma program in a Technology field of study plus two (2) years’ recent simulation technician experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Valid Class 5 vehicle license as local area travel requires the use of a vehicle.

  • CHSOS certification (Certified Simulation Operations Specialist) preferred.

The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
