Registered Nurse - Interventional Cardiovascular Admission and Recovery
ICAR (Interventional Cardiovascular Admission and Recovery) is a unique 39 bed unit that cares for a diverse population to include, cardiac catheterization, Electrophysiology and Interventional Radiology patients. In order to provide the highest level of care, the ICAR team works closely with physicians, ancillary staff and the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology teams. By placing a strong emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie-we have been the recipients of the patient satisfaction award and are often recognized for decompressing the emergency department. A third of the ICAR nursing staff has achieved the RN3 or RN4 level, proving our commitment to providing exceptional care. In addition, our hospital was the first in the area to achieve the JCAHO AMI and Heart Failure Certification.
